The Security Officer, under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor, operations and functions in assigned area, Specialist inspections, emergency response, client liaison, post order compliance reviews and special projects as assigned. They must perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations. Respond in a timely manner to events, issues, staffing deficiencies, and client requests.
– Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot
– Watch for unusual activity
– Call police or fire department during an emergency
– Permit authorized persons to enter entrances and exits
– Observe departing visitors to prevent theft of property
– Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and activities
– Provide assistance to visitors in a courteous manner
